Description:
This one came from a walnut crotch — the point where three branches split from the trunk. That's where the wild grain comes from.
The natural void that ran through the blank got filled with dried flowers set in clear epoxy — red, purple, white, yellow. Once it was turned and sanded back, the flowers ended up suspended inside the resin like they were frozen mid-bloom. The dark background makes the colour pop more than I expected.
Hand turned, hand sanded, finished with a hard oil finish.
Display piece or fruit bowl.
